Shared Values Inventory
Each partner rates what matters most across the key areas of life — then see where you align, where you differ, and what's worth a deeper conversation.
What this inventory explores
Values misalignment is one of the most common — and most avoidable — sources of ongoing friction in relationships. Often couples assume they share values because they love each other, without ever asking. This inventory gives you a structured way to find out where you genuinely align and where you see things differently, so those differences can be talked about on purpose rather than collided into.
1Partner A rates each value area independently (don't show your partner yet)
2Partner B rates the same areas independently
3Your Values Map shows alignment, overlap, and areas worth exploring together
Rating scale
Rate each value from 1 to 5 — where 1 = not very important to me and 5 = essential, non-negotiable. There are no right answers. Rate how you actually feel, not how you think you should feel.
Partner A
Rate each value from 1 (not very important) to 5 (essential). Answer for yourself — don't show your partner yet.

Partner B
Now Partner B rates each value independently. Answer for yourself — be honest, not diplomatic.
